Bargaining meetings were held 24th - 26th of May at Rådhusgaten 25 between the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (NSA) and Industri Energi on adjustment regulation of the Collective Agreement relating to Mobile Offshore Installations and platform drilling etc.

The parties are agreed on the following:
1 General wage increase
A general wage increase of 3 percent to be added on the wage matrix line 2
“annual wage with vacation allowance included” of the present wage scale for the
wage groups A – E.
For the group of personnel on individual wages within the respective companies an
increment within a minimum framework of 3 percent is allotted, however in a way
which will secure every person on individual wages a minimum increment of NOK
9000,-
The rates for minimum wages for all groups encompassed by the Collective
Agreement to be increased by 3 percent.
II Chapter 4.1 Wage group position
1. Assistant Technical Supervisor
The increments for the Assistant Technical Supervisor under 1. paragraph under the notes in 4.1 to be increased from NOK 3000,- to NOK 3800,- per. annum and NOK 9000,- to NOK 12.000,- per annum.
Subsequent section “Protocol addendum 2010” to be replaced with the following text:
The local parties will agree that the Assistant Technical Supervisor is embedded
individually in salary group 2 by 1 June 2012. The establishment of the individual
wages will be based on minimum average total salary for the group, Assistant
Technical Supervisor in the company, and related to regular hitches during the last
year before the change to individual salaries.
2. DP operator
DP operator to be promoted from wage group B to A.
When promoted to wage group A at 1 June 2011 the individual employee will be implemented in the pay scale in Group A which money wise is closest above the pay scale in Group B that the employee had before the promotion. Salary matrix is adjusted with the general increment before promotion pursuant to this section is carried out.
3. combined position Crane Operator / Supervisor
The combined position Crane operator / Supervisor to be implemented in wage group B.
When promoted to wage group B at 1 June 2011 the individual employee will be implemented in the pay scale in Group B which money wise is closest above the pay scale in Group C that the employee had before the promotion. Salary matrix is adjusted with the general increment before promotion pursuant to this section is carried out.
4. Assistant Driller
Assistant Driller to be promoted from wage group B to wage group A.
When promoted to wage group A at 1 June 2011 the individual employee will be implemented in the pay scale in group A which money wise is closest above the pay scale in group B that the employee had before the promotion. Salary matrix is adjusted with the general increment before promotion pursuant to this section is carried out.
5. Storekeeper
Storekeeper is promoted from wage group C to wage group B.
When promoted to wage group B at 1 June 2011 the individual employee will be implemented in the pay scale in group B which money wise is closest above the pay scale in group C that the employee had before the promotion. Salary matrix is adjusted with the general increment before promotion pursuant to this section is carried out.
6. Engine Room Operator
Engine Room Operator is promoted from wage group B to wage group A.
When promoted to wage group A at 1 June 2011 the individual employee will be implemented in the pay scale in group A which money wise is closest above the pay scale in group B that the employee had before the promotion. Salary matrix is adjusted with the general increment before promotion pursuant to this section is carried out.
7. Control Room Operator
Control Room Operator is promoted from wage group B to wage group A.
When promoted to wage group A at 1 June 2011 the individual employee will be implemented in the pay scale in group A which money wise is closest above the pay scale in group B that the employee had before the promotion. Salary matrix is adjusted with the general increment before promotion pursuant to this section is carried out.
III Chapter 7 Night Bonus
The night bonus to be increased by NOK 2,- per hour from NOK 64,- to NOK 66,-.
IV Chapter 12 Compensation for public holidays
The compensation to be increased by NOK 50,- per day from NOK 1580,- to NOK 1630,-.
V Pension
As a result of the legislator's delays and the uncertainty thus relates to the legal status for future service pensions and Pension Insurance for Seamen, the parties agreed to extend the mandate of the contractual pension committee, see Appendix IV in the Collective Agreement.
This means that the present pension scheme remain until it is clarified how the new Contractual Pension Scheme (AFP), early retirement and Pension Insurance for Seamen are regulated / or coordinated. The parties assume that these clarifications are ready in time to finalize a new and permanent pension scheme before the temporary arrangement expires for those who was 50 years or older at 1 June 2004 .
Should legal regulations be further delayed, the parties are agreed that the transition period may be further extended for another 2 years and thus could include employees who will be 60 years or older at 1 June 2016.
The joint committee continues its work, and when the legislation is clarified, negotiations regarding the new pension scheme will be initiated as early as possible.
